The legacy of past media coverage of HIV can affect our attitudes and behaviours in ways we don’t realise. This can lead to unintentional stigma and unlawful discrimination within our organisations.

Stigma not only negatively impacts the health and wellbeing of people living with HIV but is also the number one barrier in achieving the UK’s goal of zero new HIV infections by 2030.

You can support this goal by making your commitment to become HIV Confident.

Once you have made your commitment, we will provide you with everything you need to succeed:

  • A dedicated contact person.
  • Online membership area.
  • Staff engagement tools and resources.
  • Policy toolkits to help you ensure you are working to legislation.
  • An eLearning module.
  • Stigma-reporting guidance.
  • Networking opportunities.
